Marty Marks

Secretary/Marketing Chair

Marty Marks represents military families and their overseas experiences on the FIGT board. Having grown up as an Army brat and spending almost 30 years as an active duty Army wife, she not only experienced the ups and downs of moving globally, but helped design and implement programs that would help others embrace the experience.

As a master trainer and advisor for the Army Family team Building program, Marty worked closely with relo services in Germany and Korea to construct effective orientation programs which encouraged spouses to adapt quickly and positively to their new surrounds.

As a trainer and facilitator, she prepared and put "hands on" to many forums dealing with successful transitions. Marty has worked with spouses, children and service members in areas such as stress management, problem solving, leadership skills and supporting your child's education - skills and information essential to successful moves.
