Flor Bretón-García

Although born in Venezuela, Flor has spent most of her adult life living and working in the United States and Europe. As an Intercultural Communication Trainer she is eager to share her passion for culture and diversity with people from different backgrounds. Flor is an experienced expat, former attorney, educator and business director that has developed the skills needed to understand the value of working with different customs, standards and social mores in different professional fields.

Flor specializes in academic curriculum design to promote language and cultural awareness for schools and universities in Venezuela, the United States and Germany. She has a Masters degree in Linguistics and Foreign Languages that has motivated her to share her knowledge with students from around the world. Flor’s professional goal as a language and intercultural consultant is to bring highly qualified students and professionals into the world of foreign languages and diversity by leveraging her background in education and law coupled with her multicultural experience as an expat.

Prior to consulting, Flor worked as a school director for a private bilingual school in Texas, USA, and as a mediation lawyer for an international law firm in Caracas, Venezuela. Due to her highly mobile life, Flor founded Little Nómadas, an online language consultancy platform dedicated to bring Spanish solutions to individuals, families and professionals wanting to experience the Spanish language at a personal and corporate level. After four years as a portable business owner, Flor enjoys creating content for social media outlets, she is certified in online marketing strategies and uses the power of the virtual world to bring together people from diverse culture and origins to professionally empower expats around the world.

In addition to her professional work she also volunteers as an ambassador for Venezolanas Globales in Germany, a nonprofit organization created to mentor and empower migrant Venezuelan women abroad. She lives in Frankfurt, Germany where she is raising three teenage TCKs
