In this webinar, Shellee Burroughs, a trained art psychotherapist and a parent to two TCK children who grew up in Malaysia will:
- Explain the difference between therapeutic art and art therapy
- Share examples of therapeutic art approaches
- Share two exercises to use with individuals and or groups
- Discuss how to find, use and store materials and images
- Answer your questions
About the Facilitator
Shellee is a UK/Canada trained art psychotherapist and a parent to two TCK children who grew up in Malaysia. She has worked with children, teenagers and families in Canada, the UK and Malaysia for over 15 years.
Having worked specifically with children and adolescents in five countries, Shellee is experienced in the areas of PTSD and trauma, the TCK experience and enabling her clients to use creative methods to explore unresolved loss, identity and connection using art materials. Shellee is currently based in the UK where she is working with adopted children and their families. FIGT inspired her last year and she is really looking forward to presenting at the conference in Bangkok in April.
