In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are launching ‘FIGT Coffee & Connect’, a series of short online meetups to allow our community to simply connect and share in these challenging times.
Each Coffee & Connect session will be hosted by an FIGT Board member or Committee volunteer and will include a special guest, who will offer some brief insights from their area of expertise or experience.
So, you can show up in our pajamas, or with your kids in the background, or cooking dinner or wherever you are at the time and just be with us.
We will try to provide sessions across a range of time zones in the coming weeks, depending on volunteer availability.
Hosted by Linda Janssen with special guest Doreen Cumberford who will share some thoughts on living in limbo and coping with transitions.
A native of Scotland, Doreen Cumberford worked for the British Government in London and Cameroon in the mid-1970s, then an American corporation in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates immediately after. She has been an entrepreneur, coach, writer and speaker while traveling these last four decades.
Doreen has lived in seven countries on four continents, including the Middle East for 18 years. Doreen coaches, speaks and writes about using travel as a tool for transformation, together with the necessary mindset to process international transitions and constant travel with ease and grace.
Life in the Camel Lane, part memoir part primer, reveals stories from her time in Saudi Arabia, and is her 2nd book.
