Pre-conference Workshop

Discover Your Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and learn how to Increase It!

(Includes CQ Assessment & Personalised Feedback)

Facilitated by Trisha Carter

Please note that registration closes March 13th

Date: March 21, 2013

Location: Silver Spring Civic Building | Silver Spring, MD

Workshop Description:

CQ is the ability to be effective in a range of global, diverse situations.  It can be measured and it can be increased.  Expats, migrants, (both employees and partners) with higher CQ report more positive and satisfying global experiences. This workshop will provide participants with a pre-workshop on-line survey of CQ.  During the workshop participants will receive a 14-page feedback report including scores for the four CQ capabilities, (Drive, Knowledge, Strategy, Action) as well as their personal preferences for seven individual cultural value orientations (e.g. individualism vs. collectivism, low vs. high context, etc.) comparisons with the CQ worldwide norms, and reflection questions to guide interpretation of the feedback. Discussions and exercises in the workshop will identify how to take advantage of your strong CQ capabilities and increase those less strong.   Those working with other expats and migrants will be able to use this information with their clients or employees to assist them or adapt the information to improve selection, training and coaching programs.

NB Registrations will close prior one week prior to the workshop and particpants will receive instructions to complete the survey prior to the workshop.

To register online, please select the registration button on the left hand side of this webpage, and you will be prompted to choose the registration type that best suits you.

Please note: The registration price includes a $40 fee for workshop materials.
