A conversation with Korinne Algie…
a Kiwi in Germany and
Editor of International School Parent Magazine
Korinne Algie is an international communications specialist and the Editor of International School Parent magazine. Originally from New Zealand, she has lived in Germany, the United States, Japan and Brazil - experiences that shape her warm, insightful perspective on identity, belonging, and the expat journey. With more than 20 years’ experience in global education and intercultural communication, she is committed to helping internationally mobile families navigate life across borders. Korinne is also known for her academic research and commentary on the Eurovision Song Contest. Our questions to Korinne: - Tell us your story. How you ended up where you are and what you’re doing? - How have your Down Under roots affected your life living abroad? - Your work is around education and international schools. What changes have you noticed over the last couple years since the end of COVID and the latest political uncertainty? - You’re a co-parenting single parent of one. This is not an easy journey for an expat. How have you navigated it and what advice do you have for others? - And what’s this about the Eurovision Song Contest!?
